St. Joseph's is a truly unique Episcopal parish, founded in 1954, mixing the time-honored and venerable traditions of our rich Anglican heritage with contemporary liturgical experiences designed for those who enjoy the present Christian scene. Specific examples include the 5:00 p.m. Saturday Contemporary Mass featuring an intimate and informal setting with periods of silence along with the music of organ and guitars, contrasting with the very traditional Rite I Sunday Mass at 7:45 and the rich pageantry and ceremony of the Choral 10:15 a.m. Sunday Eucharist.

St. Joseph's is sacramentally grounded in the Eucharist as the principal Sunday liturgy and a daily Mass is celebrated as well. Our programs focus on all ages. Many of our growing parish family are young parents, enjoying the many activities for all ages from Nursery through High School. Professional lay leaders head our Church School and Episcopal Youth Outreach as well as Infant Nursery. Many of our programs are intergenerational and young people have a prominent role at the principal liturgies as lectors and ushers. Entire families, including parents, serve as acolytes.

  The beauty of our buildings and grounds attests to the dedication and devotion of our people. Our parish has just completed a multimillion dollar expansion of our facilities, including a new sanctuary, parish hall, gymnasium, multimedia learning center, preschool and classroom buildings, music room,  courtyard and youth house. A wonderful church related school from preschool through Grade 8 is a regular ministry of our life at St. Joseph's. Lay leadership is strongly encouraged and most of our parish activities and adult Christian Education Programs include large input from the laity. Social Outreach is also stressed with direct and parish involvement in a weekly program to feed the poor and an Outreach Committee oversees our annual expenditures of $75,000 per year to needy areas of our diocese and the world.
